Free State party revelers will be left chanting for more on Saturday when DJ AJ, also known as Arthur Junior, will be dishing out for the first time his highly anticipated second album titled ‘Keamogetswe’ (meaning welcomed) at the Mangaung Outdoor Sports Center, Bloemfontein.
DJ AJ said the album was produced by himself, Arthur Mafokate and Wash Mahlangu featuring a variety of vocalists such as Chomee, C’zwe, Kelly Khumalo, Pale and Cazz amongst others.
“I produce my music from around the world and this suggests that my music does not bind itself to the South African market only, I also would love to travel the world with my music much like the respected Black Coffee,” the DJ said.
This release will be simultaneous with the #CANDO event happening on the day alongside Black Coffee, Dr Malinga, Zola Arthur Mafokate, Chomee, Kelly Khumalo, Mdu, Mandoza, Finzo and others.
The young talented son of Mafokate’s music talks about love and spreads the message of the ups and downs of falling in love making it appealing to a lot of ladies.
This kind of music has earned him names like “Pretty Boy’ and ‘Lover Boy’ as his music is always affectionate. “One of the tracks to be on a look out for is ‘This Time’, featuring C’Zwe and it talks about a guy who messed up in a relationship and he is trying to make things right,” he said.
He said when he was in the studio producing this album, he was inspired by DJ Kent, Black Motion, The Layabouts, Donald and DJ Clock.
