Bafana to face hosts in final

Bafana Bafana head coach, Stuart Baxter massed praise on his team for putting up a valiant effort against Angola after reversing a 1-0 deficit to level matters and win the match 6-5 on penalties to secure a place in the finals of the 4 nations tournament currently taking place in Zambia.“The boys showed character again st a very stubborn Angola side. We started off a bit slow in the opening minutes and they really came at us. We eventually gained control of the game with the younger players gaining more confidence. It was a great performance and we looking forward to the final on Saturday” said Baxter.

Young players such as Lebogang Mothiba, Reeve Frosler and Phakamani Mahlambi were handed starts by coach Stuart Baxter. The Angolans took the lead as Campos took advantage of a casual pass from Buhle Mkhwanazi before slotting past Keet.  Bafana succeeded to level proceedings five minutes into the second half courtesy of a cheeky flick from Mothiba. SA  will now face Zambia on Saturday, who beat Zimbabwe 5-4 on penalties after their semi-final was deadlocked at 2-2 after 90 minutes. The third place play-off will see Angola play Zimbabwe
