MANGUNG-Miss South Africa Plus World Pageant was officially launched at Emaplankeni Lounge in Rocklands location,it was a spectacular evening with live entertainment where the beautiful entrants of this competition didn't disappoint as they were looking radiant.The beauty pageant is the annual event which includes Miss Pluz Size Is Me which will be held for the third time this year.
The contest will be hosted by Chief Leeuw Foundation CEO Chief Leeuw and co-partners.The Foundation is a registered,self funded,non profit organisation that aims to empower young women by creating a platform from where they are introduced to different opportunities for self growth and community upliftment.THe beauty pageant hosted by the foundation support women who has strong morals and goal setters who play a role within communities.
Leeuw's main focus and commitment is to empower a new generation of young women,inspiring them to live a legacy. "I would like to congratulate each lady who has been chosen as a finalist.WE are looking forward to walking the patch with you and see you grow.,"said Leeuw. In 2016 entries were opened for Mrs Plus Size Is Me ladies in the Free State and the overall winner was Mrs Lerato Garekoe (Bloemfontein),that same year single ladies or unmarried also wanted to be accommodated and entries for Miss Plus Size Is Me were opened to South Africa at large.
The second edition of Mrs Plus Size Is Me was hosted last year in October for divorced ladies across the country. The beauty pageant was won by Dipolelo Hou she will be participating in the 2018 Miss Plus World pageant will be held in Atlanta Georgia from July 25-1 at the Atlanta Westin Airport.Meanwhile Leeuw has been named the new executive director of the Miss Plus World pageant.
According to the founder of and owner of Miss Plus World pageant,Nanette Watts,Leeuw is no stranger to pageantry."as the owner of and the CEO of the Miss Size Is Me South Africa pageant,he is an ideal choice to assume the primary leadership role for the Miss South Africa Plus World pageant. She added:'"with the current climate of the nation,it is critical that we build communication and engage in an open dialogue with women across the nations.Currently there are 16 finalists under Miss South Africa Plus World to compete against each other on the 7 April 2018 at Bloemfontein Civic Theatre.
