WEPENER – Despite the festive mood and most of South Africans wanting to go on holidays, the Free State Premier Ace Magashule, together with members of his executive will embark on a three-town Operation Hlasela next week. Magashule, fresh from a trip in China, will also visit various poor households to deliver food parcels, clothes for children and furniture. “Rona re le mmuso wa Freistata ha rena nako ya ho phomola, re mona ho sebeletsa setjhaba. Ke ka hoo re tla beng re Hlasela bofuma, tlala ho sa kgathalatsehe hore ke nako e feng ya selemo,” said Premier Ace Magashule speaking to Dumelang News ahead of the three day Operation Hlasela.
On Monday, the operation will see the Premier visiting Wepener where a fun filled day with interesting activities is envisaged for the people of this town. These activities include a Christmas party for the elderly and disabled people at the Community Hall in Qibing Township. According to a media statement released yesterday, the number one citizen in the province will move to Ebenhezer Hoogte Township Sports Facility where another party will be hosted by the Premier and this time it will be for the little ones. Community members from Qibing will also be given an opportunity to voice their concerns during a mass community meeting later on.
MARQUARD – On Tuesday, the elderly and disabled people will also experience a joyful day with Premier Ace Magashule at Moemaneng in Marquard, then later it will be the children’s party. VREDE – “I am certain that the residents of Phumelela (Local Municipality) particularly in Vrede will be more than happy to see the Premier,” said the Executive Mayor of Phumelela Tlokotsi Motaung speaking to the ‘People’s Paper’. It is expected that the mayor will hand over completed projects to the Premier for official opening. The completed projects include a new school, a library, sewer pump station, a clinic and roads this is according to the statement from the Premier. There will also be an official opening of the Thanda Tau truck mall on the N3 highway.
